International Motors is seeking a Category Manager to join their team!

Successful candidates will be responsible for facilitating and supporting Procurement activities on the Construction and Capital project to ensure business objectives are met.

 

Procurement Specialist plans and implements activities related to the procurement of materials, equipment and construction services for internal business units’ needs. Plans, communicates, and enforces company policies and procedures for Procurement across all businesses. Creates and executes a yearly business plan for the specific Category. Negotiates major contracts involving large dollar amounts. Monitors the cost, schedule and performance aspects of major contracts and subcontracts. Select, develop, and evaluates vendors to ensure the efficient and strategic commercial relationships.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the planning, development and execution of Procurement strategies for the acquisition of Indirect Material requirements for all US based locations and some portions of EAP.
• Negotiates terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure favorable conditions for the company.
• Analyze product costs, understand underlying cost drivers and implement cost reduction initiatives to maximize savings
• Builds and manages vendor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective conditions
• Collaborate with internal key stakeholders to understand their needs and develop a clear business plan. Ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Monitors market trends, new vendor solutions and analyzes data to identify solution improvements.
• Presents sourcing recommendations to various Sourcing Committees. (Must be comfortable with public speaking and show great presentation skills)
• Must be a skilled Problem-solver who follows through on implementation

Minimum Requirements At least 3 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience

OR

Bachelor’s degreeAt least 1 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience

OR

Master’s degree Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status).  Desired Skills

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Excellent project management, organizational, communication and presentation skills
• Ability to multi-task, anticipate and solve problems, prioritize workloads and shift resources as needed
• Ability to quickly learn new concepts
• Familiarity with truck and/or Engine products and components is desirable
• Previous Procurement experience is desirable
