Job Purpose and Summary

Within Canon Europe, the Imaging Supplies department is the business group responsible for the print paper and print media business.  

In summary, the Category Manager in the Imaging Supplies department is responsible for defining and developing product propositions, assortment management, as well as purchasing and supplier management. For this role, focus segments are Commercial print (like Graphic Arts) & Industrial print for which Canon is building a strong and diverse portfolio of production printers. 

In this role, there is strong focus on defining and delivery of new business propositions for print media, as well as “making it happen”.

To do so, you perform market research with reference customers and potential suppliers.

Your starting points are market demand, application development and supplier offerings.

This role requires close collaboration with National Sales Organization’s (NSO’s), local Product Management, Business Development, Imaging Supplies Knowledge Centre, QA & Packaging, Supply and Demand planning and Marketing Communication.

What we ask

We are looking for someone with:

Bachelor/Master degree in business economics, procurement, marketing, MBA or comparableA proven track record within Category Management / Strategic sourcing / Product ManagementProcurement/Sourcing/Marketing/Business experience in relevant environments (e.g. print media, paper, cardboard, corrugated) and understanding of the market needs.Naturally you can communicate on business level in languages – English and Dutch fluent, other languages desirable (e.g. German).
