Job Summary:
Achieve revenue objectives through sales, earned income, and related marketing programs in the non-foods category.
Supervisory Responsibilities:None
Duties/Responsibilities:Effectively develop pricing and earned income programs on Performance Foodservice brand products ensuring competitive invoice delivered cost to the Operating Companies (OpCo’s).Negotiate new and enhanced supplier programs and solicit participation in key marketing strategies/events - including maintaining all documents, forms, and related vendor information.Perform business reviews with strategic suppliers. Analyze sales, earned income, industry trends, etc. Prepare Request For Proposals (RFPs), when needed, for developing new brands or assessing the best strategic partner for a current brand.Increase OpCo spend with strategic suppliers by converting purchases from nonstrategic vendors.Managing communication flow to OpCo’s as it relates to market conditions, raw material cost fluctuations, price changes, and vendor inventory positions.In the development of current and future brand products, utilize a Total Category Management approach when interacting internally with marketing and brands and externally with strategic suppliers.Support, train, and educate the OpCo’s in the non-food category via programs directed at the non-food specialist such as interactive product training, food shows, and other industry activities.Resolve issues related to vendor partners.Manage rebate tracking programs and resolve any rebate or other marketing program collection issues from suppliers and payments to OpCo’s.Assist with merchandising conference planning activities, attend, participate, and present at various events such as Summits, IFDA, NRA, Executive Conferences, and other industry events and conferences.Communicate vendor program changes, updates and other relevant industry information to Leadership, OpCos / Corporate on a timely cadence. Work strategically with Sales, Marketing and Business Intelligence teams to identify opportunities to increase portfolio mix, program launches and stimulate sales growth. Support other strategic departments and company goals and functions with procurement-related information, functions, and activities.Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.Actively participate in the company culture, advance its vision and promote its values.
