Category Manager Sr

LCRA’s sourcing team is expanding! If you have in-depth experience in strategically sourcing services and goods in an electric utility environment, then you are a great fit for this Sr. Category Manager role. As part of our team, you will perform market analysis, develop sourcing strategies and conduct sourcing events. You will be trusted to:

- Build positive relationships with stakeholders and ensure category strategy alignment with overall business objectives
- Conduct sourcing events for complex, high risk, high spend categories
- Negotiate contracts that leverage supplier relationships and capacities to achieve a competitive purchasing advantage for LCRA
- Serve as a subject matter expert in strategic sourcing and mentor colleagues with less experience

You qualify with:

- Nine or more years of experience in procurement, vendor management or project management or other relevant experience. A degree(s) in business, supply management, finance, economics or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.

You are a great fit with:

- Experience deploying a category strategy to source and procure complex goods, commodities or services
- Experience independently drafting, negotiating and administering high volume purchase contracts
- Experience leveraging and improving supplier performance
- Experience developing and managing stakeholder relationships
- Understanding of materials planning, inventory management and logistics
- Experience leading cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives
