We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position in AMERICAS at Westerville, Ohio.
Job Purpose:DHL is looking for a Category Manager – Warehouse Solutions to join our Procurement team in Westerville, OH.  Strong experience with automated supply chain solutions (Dematic, Intelligrated, Beumer, Fives, etc.) is a must.  In this role, you will use your knowledge of category specific supply markets to achieve greatest value contributions and benefits realizations assuring quality, total cost of ownership and service.  This encompasses: Regional sourcing strategies and overall category strategy development; Negotiations; Contract management; Implementation; Benefits tracking; Recommendation for cost reduction, Supplier development and management; and Direct engagement with business partners and sourcing peers globally.  This role will focus primarily on the following sub-categories within the warehouse equipment space:  Sortation systems, Conveyors, Autonomous solutions, Forklifts, Stetchwrap machines, Sweeper Scrubbers units and Racking. 
Your tasks:Fully develop and align a category strategy supported by market intelligence and business partner directionSeek out opportunity to grow Procurement responsibility with business partnersDevelop and maintain thorough knowledge of relevant supply markets, vendor trend analysis and complianceDevelop and implement regional sourcing strategies, utilizing state of the art sourcing practices; under the guidance of corporate sourcing and with the input of country procurement and business partner engagementEstablish and manage good working relationships with corporate sourcing and country management  (procurement and others) in order to optimize their spend in relation to corporate initiativesBuild and maintain solid understanding of regional business sector and site needsDrive regional standardization in line with corporate standards, provide ongoing support to country and regional stakeholders (procurement and others)Select, develop and manage best in class suppliers, assists sites and suppliers in on-boarding to the organizationContribute to the definition of supplier assessment criteria. Drive ongoing assessment of suppliers performance and provide formal feedback including leading quarterly business reviews Define action plans with suppliers to meet corporate and regional objectives Prepare and lead supplier negotiations Deliver supplier and contract related communication to internal stakeholders in corporate sourcing, countries and businessesNegotiate and manage suppliers to identify and deliver benefits of continuous improvement initiativesMonitor ongoing benefits tracking and compliance assessments to achieve optimal competitiveness and cost savings Conduct regular supplier benchmarkingAchieve identified key performance indicators including savings and managed spend ratio, supplier performance, savings target achievement, business partner satisfaction and spend complianceYour profile:
Undergraduate degree in relevant field (required)Hands-on experience with automated Supply Chain Solutions (required)7 years procurement working closely with sourcing colleagues, operating management and business partners (required)Strong network of contacts in the industry space (required)Proven experience in sourcing and negotiating large spend contracts (required)Demonstrated ability to work successfully within a cross-functional and multi-stakeholder organizational structure   (required)Project Management and expertise in Production Equipment (required)E-sourcing experience (desired)Fluency in English (oral and written) (required)Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (required)Analytical skills (desired)Assertive, results oriented, proactive and strategic thinking with strong personal integrity (required)We offer:
