Job Description
We are growing and looking for a passionate Category Space Manager to support our business. This role involves working in a team environment to develop insights, identify opportunities, and communicate recommendations to drive industry growth. We seek an individual who takes ownership of their work and continuously strives for excellence.
ResponsibilitiesBuild strong relationships with retailers as a trusted category advisor across all areas of the business.Develop impactful category analyses and consumer insights using a range of syndicated and non-syndicated data sources.Synthesize learnings from various sources to create clear and impactful selling stories in a visually appealing manner using PowerPoint.Effectively educate internal teammates and external customers on growth opportunities through clear and impactful communications.Partner with the Sales team to engage external retailer buying teams in defined territories with the goal of identifying opportunities to grow the category.Use space planning software to effectively merchandise the beer department according to category and retailer strategy.Essential SkillsStrong passion for the industry.Category Management or Sales experience in the consumer packaged goods industry.Moderate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel to manipulate and organize data.Moderate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint to organize and visualize the storyline for presentations.Strong familiarity with syndicated data, software, and measures (IRI, Nielsen, EYC, etc.).Shelf management and planogram creation experience (JDA, Apollo, etc.).Ability to understand information, develop insights, and identify opportunities when analyzing large data sets.Ability to translate findings and recommendations into a concise and effective selling story.Ability to confidently present insights, opportunities, and recommendations to internal or external stakeholders in a persuasive manner.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Positive attitude.Self-starter who will take ownership of work and drive results.Work Environment
Hybrid: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in office; Monday and Friday work from home. Normal day hours.
