Catering Chef

Per Diem

Executes catering menu efficiently; assists with inventory control and sanitation.   Cooks for special functions and marketing events. Responsible for overall quality assurance.        

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1.         Assists in all areas of the kitchen when needed. Including areas of cooking and preparation outside of normal catering events. 

2.         Prepare meals for all catering events and work the events, responsible for executing a high-end catering menu with the oversight of the Executive Chef and Sous Chef. The catering chef will be present during meals to assist with carving stations, pasta stations, omelet stations etc. The catering chef we be responsible for overseeing events and staying to break down events upon completion. 

3.         Inventory catering equipment and organize areas of catering equipment. 

4.         Participates in ordering with Executive Chef and Sous Chef as needed for catering events.

5.         Properly Maintain and use equipment based on trained methods, clean equipment following each use to maintain required sanitation levels.

6.         Frequently monitors posted schedule and promptly report to work at designated time and date.

7.         Attends all scheduled in-services and mandatory educational programs as needed. 

8.         Performs other duties as directed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:                   High School Diploma or GED.  Completion of Culinary program recommended.

Experience:                 1-3 years of experience as a chef with managerial skills preferred
