Catering Lead
Lead and direct a team of servers to ensure the efficient execution of catered events. Set up event spaces according to client specifications, including tables, buffets, and place settings. Coordinate with the culinary team to ensure timely delivery and presentation of food and beverages. Provide exceptional customer service to clients and their guests, addressing any concerns or special requests. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the proper storage and handling of equipment and supplies. Train and mentor new servers, providing guidance on service standards and best practices. Assist with inventory management, including ordering and restocking supplies as needed. Attend pre-event BEO meetings to review event details and expectations. Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a catering or banquet environment, with a minimum of 1 year in a lead or supervisory role (preferred). Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on creating memorable experiences for clients and guests. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to anticipate and address potential issues before they arise. Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques, including wine and cocktail service. Familiarity with proper food handling and sanitation practices. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent Additional training or certification in hospitality or food service (preferred)

Compensation: $22.50 per hour
