Cath Lab Clinical Coordinator

**Job Description:**
The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the Cath Lab operations, employees, and procedures. They manage patient flow and allocate staff resources to maximize the operating efficiency of the department. This includes coordinating daily staffing assignments, patient scheduling, and room assignments. They also coordinate patient care with cardiologists and other departments. Performs a variety of cardiovascular procedures as needed.

Follows Society of Invasive Cardiovascular Professionals Scope of Practice.
**Job Essentials**
+ Assists in the hiring, orienting, and mentoring of new staff.
+ Schedules and coordinates employees to provide for proper staffing levels in the department and for each procedure.
+ Appropriately handles employee, patient, and physician issues and concerns.
+ Provides employee performance improvement counseling as needed and completes employee evaluations.
+ Maintains clinical competence in all Cath Lab areas.
+ Assists with procedures as dictated by patient loads and staffing needs.
+ Trains employees in various procedures and acts as a clinical resource.
+ Knows and adheres to department policies and safety procedures and monitors staff compliance. May assist with policy revision and creation.
+ Responsible for equipment including troubleshooting and coordinating repairs.
+ Assures quality and timely patient care within the department. Coordinates patient care with other departments as needed.
+ Provides QA review and analysis and implements process improvements.
+ Performs additional managerial duties in the absence of the Manager/Director.
**Shift Details**
+ Full time (40 hours)
+ Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
+ Some weekends, nights and holidays may be required.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
+ Current BLS certification for healthcare providers.
+ ACLS certification.
+ - or -
+ PALS certification.
+ Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
+ 5 years of Cath Lab or EP experience.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ EP experience (where EP procedures performed).
**Physical Requirements:**
Hearing/Listening, Lifting, Manual Dexterity, Seeing, Standing.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$45.32 - $69.94
