As we expand our facilities to meet the growing needs of our patients, we are seeking dedicated Cath Lab Technologists – Cardiovascular Invasive Specialists to lead our hospital expansion with start dates in March 2025.
JOB SUMMARY
\nThe Cardiovascular Invasive Technician is accountable to surgically scrub in and help with equipment. Helps the Cardiovascular Invasive Specialists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures is a secondary assignment. Prepares room and equipment, transports and monitors patients. May handle medications in accordance with responsibilities.
\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
\n\nHelps Physicians with arteriograms/catheterizations, permanent pacemaker implantations, diagnostic and interventional, peripheral and coronary, interventional and thrombolytic therapy.\nRelated duties include: preparing and maintaining sterile 1 fields for lab procedures; printing film and calculating stenosis on peripheral cases; circulating in procedure rooms and collecting data on appropriate forms; monitoring patient's ECG and vital signs while in Catheterization Lab, notifying Physician of variances, and providing emergency procedures (CPR, defibrillation, etc.) as needed.\nPerforms pre-and post-procedure care. Monitors and orients patients for specials/catheterization procedures.\nAnswers related questions to make patient relaxed. Transports patients to and from procedural area.\nCommunicates relevant medical information to physicians and other staff through required documentation on specified medical record forms.\nRecords, enters into data computer and calculates catheterization data, gradients, LV grams, cardiac outputs, and peripheral stenosis.\nFollows national and state radiation protection regulations for patients, self and staff.\nMaintains inventory of and orders procedure room supplies. Ensures procedure rooms are adequately stocked and equipment is safe to use.\n\nKEY SUCCESS FACTORS
\n\nOne (1) year clinical experience preferred.\nUse of basic office equipment and computer literacy required.\nAbility to multi-task and self-manager problem solving skills.\nAbility to demonstrate precision and flexibility.\nUse of basic office equipment and computer literacy required.\nKnowledge and ability to apply complex invasive cardiac and vascular values, instrumentation and techniques.\nKnowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.\n\nBENEFITS

QUALIFICATIONS
\n\n\n\t EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent\n\tEXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience\n\tCERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION\n\t\n\t\tBasic Life Support (BLS)\n\t\tACLS (ACLS): Must obtain ACLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.\n\t\n\t\n
