On call Rotation: 5 week days a month, and 1 weekend (Friday-Monday Morning) - must live within 30 minutes of the hospital The invasive cardiac vascular technologist assists with all aspects of invasive services and patient care in the cardiac vascular procedure environment. This area includes but is not limited too, cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, endovascular. Certification and Licensure ACLS BLS Certification Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS). The most frequent diagnoses for the medical patients are cardiovascular conditions, respiratory conditions, diabetes, and infectious processes. The surgical patients represent a variety of specialties including, but not limited to general surgery, GYN, ENT and urology surgeries. Cardiovascular intervention/procedural patients (post cardiac catheterization, stent, and cardiac device placement, etc.) are often placed on this unit.
