The most frequent diagnoses for the medical patients are cardiovascular conditions, respiratory conditions, diabetes, and infectious processes. The surgical patients represent a variety of specialties including, but not limited to general surgery, GYN, ENT and urology surgeries. Cardiovascular intervention/procedural patients (post cardiac catheterization, stent, and cardiac device placement, etc.) are often placed on this unit.
