DESCRIPTION: The CBRN Enterprise Architect designs and produces enterprise architectures to support capability development for management of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) threats; provides technical expertise in creating, updating, and maintaining architecture views and data that meet the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and the Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (JCIDS) requirements; serves as a technicalliaisonwithregardtoarchitecturedesignandsoftwareupgrades.

Primary duties will include (but not limited to):  Produce full DoDAF operational architectures as part of a collaborative Enterprise Architecture Team. Coordinate with internal and external enterprise architects who produce the systems architectures for CBRN capability development. Ensure that the operational and systems architectures are in alignment. Support production of architectures for up to 12 JCIDS requirements documents or Capabilities Based Assessments (CBA) per year. Contribute to the production of architectures for overarching operational concept Support production of one to two overarching operational concept architectures per year. Ensure that all architecture views and associated data are compliant with DoDAF and Warfighter Mission Area specifications. Ensure that all architectures meet JCIDS requirements. Develop architectures to be consistent with the Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control (CJADC2) framework. Work collaboratively with JRO Integrators and Subject-Matter Experts to produce architectures that support capability requirements for CBRN Defense. Maintain existing and legacy architectures using Government approved configuration management Adhere to and refine the Enterprise Architecture Team’s architecture development processes, including configuration management. Facilitate the use of architecture software products on the Joint Staff Unclassified and Classified networks. Actively participate in the customer migration from using System Architect as the enterprise architecture tool to using Cameo/ MagicDraw as the enterprise architecture tool. Troubleshoot specialized architecture software tools as needed. The customer’s current enterprise architecture toolset includes System Architect, MagicDraw/Cameo, and Erwin Data Modeler. Providing up to eight hours per month of assistance to the Unclassified and Secret network System Administrators with routine maintenance and migrations. Conducting up to three hours per week of lost data

 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or similar or related discipline, or equivalent military experience. At least ten (10) years generalized enterprise architecture experience At least five (5) years experience producing military operational and/or systems architectures using the DoDAF Hands-on experience producing DoDAF OVs, CVs and/or SVs. Demonstrated expertise in Unicom System Architect and Cameo/MagicDraw. Advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel. Detail-oriented with the capability to deliver high-quality work products consistently in a timely fashion. Ability to complete individual tasks independently, collaborate productively in a team environment, and be proactive with little guidance. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients. Ability to think critically and analyze a wide variety of complex problems. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both verbal and written communications.   EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE DESIRED: Seven (7) or more years of CBRN defense or CWMD program-specific architecture experience. Demonstrated expertise in ERwin Data Modeler software. Demonstrated expertise in Extensible Markup Language (XML), Systems Modeling Language (SysML), and/or Unified Modeling Language (UML). Familiarity with the Unified Profile for DoDAF and MoDAF (UPDM) and/or Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) architecture frameworks.   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:  Standard Working Office Environment TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Up to 25% EOE.
