CBS News Intern, WBBM Chicago (Summer 2025)

 

 

The CBS Chicago is an award-winning news operation across broadcast, streaming, digital and social platforms. We inform and educate the community by reporting important news and information across all of the Chicago area. 

 

Responsibilities: 

Assisting with all elements of newscast/streaming production including logging, researching stories, selecting video. Assisting producers, news writers, assignment editors and reporters Perform light clerical and assist producers and talent Writing copy for digital and broadcast Performing duties as assigned by assignment editors including beat calls, data research, and fact gathering. Learn fundamental news-gathering and iNews formatting skills

 

Work Schedule:  100% in person, Mon-Fri 9am-6pm

 

Eligibility:  

Internships are available to students who will be Juniors, Seniors, or Master's students in the fall of 2025. If you are a graduating Senior, please check our website for full-time job opportunities.  You must be available to intern full-time (5 days a week/36-40 hours a week) for 10 weeks total starting in June.   Internship format will be 100% in person. Internships are paid at a competitive standard hourly rate (school credit is optional). Employment eligibility to work with Paramount in the United States is required as the company does not engage in sponsorship for internships.
