Belcan Inc. is looking for an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to aid with maintenance and installation of various aircraft structures.

As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will be:

*Performing complex structure and aircraft installations, repairs, rework, and tests.
*Completing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repairs, testing, inspections, installations, modifications and component changes of aircraft structures, components, and test equipment
*Inspecting, testing and evaluating structural damage.
*Completing required paperwork, certifications and releases for work completed to meet airworthiness standards.
*Troubleshooting mechanical and structural problems.
*Complying with all safety regulations.
*Ensuring aircraft is ready for authorization or certification for maintenance release following any maintenance or repairs to the applicable airworthiness standard.
*Ensuring all parts and assembly meet requirements in accordance with approved data.
*Reporting unserviceable parts to the Person Responsible for Maintenance
*Investigating aircraft system deficiencies and faults; find or discuss possible rectifications with applicable manuals and documents e.g., service bulletins and drawings.
*Managing all parts and disposition of parts in assigned workstation by using proper documentation.
*Instructing and assisting other team members in interpretation of blueprints, drawings, and engineering orders.
*Training other team members in methods and procedures

Experience and Education:
*Diploma from accredited Post secondary institution considered an asset.
*Previous experience in general aviation maintenance considered an asset.
*AME M1 license is a requirement (candidates can be in process of M1 license)
*Radio operators certificate considered an asset.
*Pilots license considered an asset.
*Must be able to lift 50 lbs (25 kg"s)
*Work is done mostly indoors - AC in the summer and heated in the winter

Skills and Knowledge:
*Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
*Familiar with all functions of components and systems for installation
*Possess skill in close tolerance work, e.g., drilling, reaming, ship fitting parts, etc.
*Thorough knowledge in the use of multiple measuring devices with ability to use within specified tolerance.
*Ability to use computer programs such as Excel and Word
*Ability to navigate systems such as Smarteam and Navision considered an asset.
*Ability to research and understand the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CAR"s)and FAA Regulations (FAR"s)
