Required Qualifications
Associates Degree. A GED/High School Diploma plus 1 year of transferable functional experience may substitute for an Associate’s degree.
Experience relevant to the role of the position.

Ability to meet occasional travel demands of the position. A valid NYS driver's license and ability to drive and driving record acceptable for agency insurance coverage are required.

Position Responsibilities & Essential Functions
Administrative Responsibilities:
Direction – 5%
Assist with planning program administrative functions (expenses, data, staffing, etc.).
Management – 25%
Assist with managing program administrative functions (expenses, data, staffing, etc.).
Manage the Capital Region SNAP-Ed Program Evaluation and Reporting System (PEARS). Communicate with supervisor and staff to ensure accurate and timely data collection. Help evaluate the PEARS data surveys and processes as needed.
Assist with staffing management - reviewing and approving employee timecards, time off requests, schedules.
Quickly identify and report issues or problems that arise. Offer solutions to help ensure administrative needs are met.
Solve problems using appropriate policies and procedures.
Coordination/Operation – 65%
Coordinate administrative functions for the program as needed or assigned.
Coordinate program data collection and reporting systems including by training staff, running reports, timely and accurate data submission, assisting with policy and procedures, serving on committees, etc.
Coordinate meetings and events, agendas, Zoom sessions, etc.
Coordinate vendor relationships, quotes, invoices, deliveries, etc.
Perform basic accounting tasks – collect and audit staff shopping receipts, review and approve staff expenses, vouchers, budgets, and documentation, work with the supervisor and finance staff on the same.
Perform basic marketing functions – maintain regional calendar of events, create flyers and marketing materials, coordinate photos, maintain websites, social media posts, QR codes, etc.
Coordinate program materials and inventory.
Provide administrative support for staff including but not limited to programs, food demos, surveys, etc.
Professional Improvement – 5%
In cooperation with Supervisor and/or Executive Director, jointly develop and pursue a professional development plan as a means to increase competencies relative to position accountabilities and to address changes and Association priorities.
Collaborate in activities that are in general support of Cornell Cooperative Extension and perform other duties as assigned.
Health and Safety – Applied to all duties and functions
Support the Association to maintain a safe working environment.
Be familiar with and strive to follow any applicable federal, state, local regulations, Association health and safety policy/procedure/requirement and standard.
Act proactively to prevent accidents/injuries and communicate hazards to supervisors when identified.
