SHIFT- Rotating schedule Weekends plus 3 weekdays. 

 

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the safe operation of class A vehicles. Class A vehicles have a GCWR (Gross Combination Weight Rating) of more than 26,000 lbs. and are a truck/trailer combination. This position is also responsible for the safe pickup and delivery of product the vehicle is carrying.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Drive the vehicle into position for loading and unloading. Assist with loading to make sure goods are correctly stowed. Communicate with office. Deliver and unload goods at required site. Obtain a receipt for goods delivered. Perform vehicle check daily. Vehicle report must be completed and submitted weekly. Hand in all gas receipts/cards. Maintain an odometer log daily. Clean vehicle inside and out on daily basis.

 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Follow Whitsons Driver Policy Guidelines Whitsons is not responsible for any traffic violations while you are driving the company vehicle and are on company time. If you receive a traffic violation, you will be responsible for the ticket. Perform additional duties as assigned. No other passengers permitted in vehicle unless authorized by manager. Must adhere to all motor vehicle laws and regulations. Must be cautious of bad weather conditions that can make their job hazardous Report all mechanical problems and concerns to shipping

Payrate: $25.00/hour
