Valid Class A CDL license with Manual & Air Brake Endorsements.Experience operating a forklift, Skid steers, backhoe or other equipment.Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.Minimum 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.Working knowledge of D.O.T. laws.Ability to work a physically demanding job. Loading and unloading cans with no helpers.Ability to read, write and comprehend reports to complete daily assignmentsMust pass criminal background check, drug panel screening and motor vehicle report to be eligible for employment.This position’s primary responsibility is operating equipment to receive, move, bale, and load recycle material for transport at PSI’s Recycle Yard. Equipment includes, but is not limited to: Forklift, Skid Steer, Backhoe, Compactor, etc. This position also requires driving a Class A, Manual, Truck & Trailor to collect materials locally, totaling about 8hrs driving per week.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate forklift, baler, backhoe or other equipment as needed. Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.Completes daily reports on pre and post trip inspections of equipment.Fuels vehicle daily.Yard and facility maintenance including debris and clean up.Spotting Trucks.Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.Specific duties can change on the daily basis as operation needs change.Working outside in all weather conditions.Operates recycling baler.Operates hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse, operate compactor and dispose of collected material at the designated facility.Follows all safety policies and procedures.WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Ability to mount and dismount the truck multiple times every day while on route.The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.
