Job Overview: The primary functions of a Heavy Haul Driver are to drive a flat bed, heavy duty flat bed, tractor with Landoll trailer, tractor with flat deck or drop deck trailer, and a tractor with a Lowboy trailer. Driver will use this equipment to move objects or heavy equipment for customers.  This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Primary Duties: + Able to drive all vehicles assigned to them. + Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions, checking that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned. + Load cargo in a safe manner as trained. + Responsible for general maintenance of truck, including but not limited to: checking oil and fuel levels. + Complete all “pre-trip” requirements before each truck run and “post-trip” requirement at the end of each shift. + Able to push 96 pounds and pull 130 pounds and lift 63 pounds. + Able to climb ladder with a minimum of 3 rungs regularly. + Able to read and navigate road maps and GPS systems. + Confirm that all necessary permits are obtained before delivering load. + May drive in hazardous conditions, including inclement weather, tight quarters, and inner-city locations. + Handle exposure to heavy traffic, dust, fumes, high and low temperatures, slippery surfaces, low-lighted work areas and high noise levels.   + Able to communicate via written orders and instructions.  + Demonstrate professionalism; be courteous and friendly to customers and co-workers at all times. + Follow company quality, safety and environmental guidelines as well as employee handbook policies. + Regular and reliable attendance and presence at work. + Good interpersonal skills. + Able to effectively perform responsibilities under a high level of stress. + Operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. + Perform duties as assigned by management.
