Four Hands is one of the largest home furnishing distributors in Austin, TX. We operate out of seven locations with nearly 1,000,000 sqft of warehouse space. A role in our distribution center means being in the heart of getting products to our customers as quickly as possible.
The warehouse CDL Driver plays a vital role in our team, ensuring exceptional service and support for both our internal team and valued customers. From warehouse operations to delivering top-notch service, this position is key to our success.
In This Role\nSafely operate trucks and trailers to designated destinations, ensuring timely delivery while prioritizing safety and careful handling \nInspect trucks and trailers for defects and safe operating conditions before, during and after trips \nSubmit written reports on the truck's condition at the start and end of each shift\nOperate commercial vehicles in challenging conditions, including heavy traffic and adverse weather\nProvide exceptional customer service to external clients and internal teams \n Ensure paperwork is accurate and completed promptly\nMaintain the trucks, ensuring it is in safe working order and that routine maintenance is performed on time\nComply with all Federal, State and local laws regulating safe driving and operating of a commercial vehicle \nLoad and unload containers and trucks\nUphold our Core Values and be a valuable member of the Four Hands team \nOther duties as assigned by Management\n
The Ideal Person\n2+ years commercial driving experience required\nA Valid Class A Driver’s License required\nForklift operator experience is required\nMust pass the Company’s MVR policy\nCapable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. and standing/lifting for up to 8 hours \nAble to read maps, road signs and shipping receipts\nExceptional communication and time management skills\n
