How you will contribute
Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Truck Driver position in the Shipping and Receiving department at the Pittsburgh Coatings Site. We are looking for a highly driven individual that will operate a Valmont Pick-up truck and trailer to pick-up and/or deliver customer product safely and efficiently.
Inspect truck and trailers for defects before and after loads and report any defectsOperate a forklift to load and unload trucks as well as to stage and organize materials in the yardMaintain maintenance logs on forklifts making certain it is in good operating condition at all timesOperate equipment and vehicles safely, protecting self and others from accident and injuryMaintain all necessary Department of Transportation (DOT) papers for record keeping requirementsReport and maintain an accurate driver’s log for DOT requirementsWhat it takes
Required Qualifications
Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)Two years of previous experience driving a commercial truck in a professional environmentThe ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environmentThe ability to read and follow written and verbal instructionsMust have a high awareness for safety at all timesThe ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in extreme weather conditionsMust be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional resultsHighly qualified candidates will also possess:
