The CDL Driver will operate any light/heavy CDL required vehicle for site work, pipeline, or excavation projects. Most projects will be along the Wasatch Front in Utah.

What You'll Do

Duties/Responsibilities:


• Transports tools and other construction material to and from construction sites.
• Inspects, lubricates, and fuels equipment before the beginning shift.
• Performs routine maintenance and repairs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Must be able to work some weekends and at nights, when needed.
• Ability to travel out of town during the week and weekends.
• Ability to handle and legally transport materials.
• Will safely perform work and follow safety guidelines.
• Participates in daily safety briefings and meetings.
• Performs any minor skilled job on the project.
• Punctuality at the beginning of shift assigned job site location.
• Reports any issues to supervisor or higher-level employee.
• Maintain a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Ability to haul and transport equipment & material.

What You'll Bring

Required Skills/Abilities:


• Knowledge of assigned vehicle operation and capabilities.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have completed OSHA 10 safety training.
• Ability to self-start tasks without supervisor direction.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid medical card, “Class A or Class B– CDL” license, and clean driving record.
• Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.
• Ability to load, unload, transport and secure materials and equipment.

 

Education and Experience:


• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational school training or apprenticeship preferred.

Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of operating light/heavy vehicles.
• Must be able to operate vehicles in all weather conditions and terrains.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds and push and/or pull 50-pound loads at a time.
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the jobsite.
• Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.
