Work Experience
Experience:Minimum 2 years of experience as a CDL driver, preferably in the construction, masonry, or building materials industry.Proven experience operating a forklift and handling heavy materials.Strong understanding of safety practices and regulations for both driving and operating forklifts.Skills & Abilities:Excellent driving skills with the ability to navigate various road conditions and follow delivery instructions.Moffett forklift loader experience a plus.Bilingual abilities a plus.Ability to safely and efficiently load, unload, and transport heavy materials using a forklift.Good physical stamina and strength to perform loading/unloading tasks and handling materials.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing deliveries and documentation.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift, carry, and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds or more).Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

We are seeking a reliable and skilled CDL Driver who is also proficient in forklift operations to transport and deliver various types of masonry and building products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in driving a commercial vehicle, loading and unloading heavy materials, and ensuring timely deliveries to job sites. This position requires both the safe operation of a CDL truck and the effective use of a forklift to handle building materials such as bricks, cement, stone, and other masonry products. This is a direct hire role in central Austin.
Key Responsibilities:
Driving Duties:Safely operate a commercial vehicle (CDL required) to transport masonry and building products to various customer job sites.Ensure all deliveries are made on time, following the designated routes and schedules.Maintain accurate delivery logs and ensure that all required documentation is completed for each trip.Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, ensuring it is in good working condition and complies with safety regulations.Follow all local, state, and federal regulations regarding vehicle operation and road safety.Forklift Operation:Operate a forklift to load and unload building materials, including bricks, cement, stone, and other masonry products, ensuring that products are handled safely and efficiently.Inspect and maintain forklift equipment to ensure it is safe to use.Load trucks with building materials in accordance with company guidelines, ensuring products are properly secured for transportation.Unload materials at delivery sites, ensuring products are placed accurately and safely.Safety & Compliance:Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols when driving, operating machinery, and handling building materials.Ensure compliance with all company policies, as well as local, state, and federal safety regulations.Report any incidents, accidents, or mechanical issues to the supervisor immediately.Customer Service:Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions in a courteous and timely manner.Ensure materials are delivered in the correct quantities and in good condition.General Maintenance:Maintain a clean and organized truck, forklift, and work environment.Assist with minor maintenance and repairs of equipment as needed.Work Experience
