This role involves operating commercial vehicles, ensuring timely delivery, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), experience in agricultural transportation and a commitment to safety and compliance. * _ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS_* * Safely and efficiently transport feed, grain, and agronomic crop production input products and supplies to farms, retail locations, and warehouses. * Load, transport, and unload agricultural equipment and machinery as needed. * Ensure the vehicle is in compliance with all state and federal regulations, including maintaining proper documentation and completing necessary inspections. * Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper handling and transportation of hazardous materials. * Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring satisfaction with delivery services. * Assist in the loading and unloading of products, ensuring accurate inventory counts and proper storage. * Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, considering traffic, weather, and road conditions. * Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the vehicle, including checking fluid levels, tires, and brakes and reporting any issues to the maintenance team. * Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and any incidents or delays encountered during transport. * _OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS_* * Performs all other duties as assigned. * _REQUIREMENTS_* * Educations and Experience* Normally, it requires a high school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years or more of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of and the ability to safely operate tractor-trailer or tender truck equipment and meet company and DOT standards. * Functional Competencies* * Experience driving commercial vehicles, preferably in the agricultural sector. * Knowledge of agronomic crop production input products and their safe handling. * Ability to operate heavy machinery and agricultural equipment. * Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional demeanor. * Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety. * Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with teammates at all levels. * Ability to identify and address issues in a proactive manner. * Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and teammates. * Core Competencies* Demonstrated core competencies, including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision-making, and skill development. * Other Requirements* * Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with endorsements as required by the role (e.g., HazMat, Tanker). * Ability to work hours other than those considered normal at various times throughout the year to meet deadlines and demands. * Physical Demands* * _Lifting/Carrying_* * _Frequency_* * _Pushing/Pulling_* * _Frequency_* Under 10 lbs.
