Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Operation:

Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, backhoes, trenchers, and loaders for telecommunications construction projects. Perform excavation, trenching, and backfilling tasks as required. Ensure proper care, maintenance, and safe operation of equipment. Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure it is in safe working condition. Report equipment issues or malfunctions promptly to supervisors.

Driving Duties:

Safely operate CDL-class commercial vehicles to transport equipment, materials, and crew to and from job sites. Load, secure, and unload equipment and materials according to safety standards. Maintain accurate transportation logs, inspection records, and other required documentation.

General Duties:

Assist with site preparation, material handling, and general labor tasks as needed. Follow company safety protocols and participate in safety training programs. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth project operations. Maintain a clean and organized worksite.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. License: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class A required. Clean driving record. Experience: Proven experience operating heavy equipment in construction or telecommunications preferred. Knowledge of excavation safety practices and DOT regulations. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Availability to work overtime and travel short-term as project needs demand.
