Ceded Reinsurance Senior Analysts - Operations

The Ceded Reinsurance Finance and Operations function is responsible for delivering a strategic and forward-looking global organization that will: • Advance the Company’s growth and profitability goals through the enablement of the Ceded strategy. • Provide clear accountability for outward reinsurance contracts administration, outwards reinsurance controls and outward reinsurance reporting; and • Drive process excellence and better data and analytics through technological enablement and our partnership with Genpact. What will you do in this role? The Ceded Reinsurance Sr Analyst - Operations will report to the Ceded Reinsurance Manager - Operations. This role will provide oversight and operational support for treaty administration and client services including ceded premium and loss market reporting, collections, and other related ceded activities. • Apply your working knowledge of ceded reinsurance contracts and reporting requirements to assure ceded premiums and loss market reporting is compliant • Coordinate the review, communication and settlement of treaty bordereaux as well as resolving related inquiries • Coordinate payment processing and administration with support team • Responsible for monitoring and collections of bordereau recoverable balances • Develop strong relationships with internal and external clients to ensure accurate communication and timely response to inquiries • Working knowledge of foreign currency exchange related to currency conversion and settlements • Assist with cash administration including system allocations, GL postings and reconciliations • Support departmental compliance with operational controls including, but not limited to SOX controls You may also be required to take on additional duties, responsibilities and activities appropriate to the nature of this role. What you need to have: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent • Range 4-7 years’ experience in reinsurance operations • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products applications (Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint). **Advanced to intermediate in MS Excel** What we prefer you to have: • Internationally recognized qualification pursuit or equivalent experience (CPA, CA, ARe, CPCU) a plus • Retrocession and / or third-party capital industry knowledge with operations and reporting experience a plus • Experience with ceded reinsurance and financial systems a plus (ProCede and Oracle/SmartView) What we offer: For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of GA: $70,000 to $120,000. Your salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including your specific experience and work location.
