Job Description

AECOM is seeking highly talented, self-driven and motivated CEI Construction Services Inspectors to be based in the West Palm Beach, Florida area.

This position is expected to begin in July 2024

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

The Inspector will be responsible for inspecting construction work and conducting field tests for compliance with contract documents for airfield and landside civil and architectural projects including roadways, bridges, and vertical improvements;Monitoring on site construction activitiesConduct inspections, observations of construction progress and materials testing and checking construction workReceiving general supervision from and assisting the Senior Inspector in the performance of their dutiesRelies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsWorks under general supervisionMay assist with training entry-level employeesResponsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection dutiesPerforms daily field inspections and maintains inspection recordsParticipates in punch lists, testing, and commissioningTracks quality assurance progressProvides input to documentation for area and equipment turnoversCommunicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing)

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:  

Highschool Diploma plus 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education Due to the projects associated with this position a US Citizenship is requiredValid Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review

Preferred Qualifications: 

Two (2) years construction inspection, one (1) year of which shall have been in roadway and/or bridge construction inspectionValid Drivers' License and good driving record Nuclear Radiation SafetyFDEP Stormwater Inspector CertificationCTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level ICTQP Asphalt Roadway Level ICTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level ICTQP Pile Driving InspectionCTQP Drilled Shaft InspectionIMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level ICTQP Final Estimates Level I
