Job Description

AECOM is actively hiring an experienced CEI Senior Construction Inspector to support projects located within the Gardendale, Alabama Area.

Responsibilities:

• Supervising daily activities and assignments of inspection staff
• Conduct Progress Meeting with theContractor
• Oversee and perform field inspections to monitor road conditions, bridges, road construction, traffic, and material used in road construction and repair
• Reviews construction, maintenance, or traffic projects for compliance with project specifications and plans
• Monitors contract performance and project status for major construction and maintenance projects
• Maintains records and prepares reports relating to public works installations and projects
• Compile quantities and review construction reports and other data

Qualifications

Minimum:

High School Diploma plus 4 years of related CEI inspection or related field experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationCEI experience in roadway or bridge constructionValid U.S Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review

Preferred:

Bridge and highway CEI senior inspection experienceExperience monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications and/or code requirements by performing inspection dutiesField inspections, inspection records experienceSkilled in properly executing contract documents, drawings and specificationsAbility to write and review contract change ordersA working knowledge and ability to review a CPM ScheduleAbility to read and understand construction drawings and the knowledge to be able to conduct constructability reviews
