Job Description

AECOM is currently seeking a well experienced CEI Senior Project Engineer to support our local projects within the Jacksonville, FL region.

ABILITIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directing a highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection programPlanning and organizing the work of subordinate and staff membersDeveloping and/or reviewing policies, methods, practices, and proceduresReviewing programs for conformance with Department standardsSupports, oversees and coordinates engineering production activities for an operating unitMakes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritativeInitiates and maintains contact with senior-level management within the company and is skilled in dispute resolution and negotiation of critical issuesSupervision received is essentially administrative with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limitsDirecting a highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection programPlanning and organizing the work of subordinate and staff membersDeveloping and/or reviewing policies, methods, practices, and proceduresReviewing programs for conformance with Department standardsUnder minimal supervision, performs complex duties utilizing advanced techniques and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and methodsAssumes lead responsibilities for a team of engineers and professional support staffInitiates and maintains contact with senior-level management within the company and is skilled in dispute resolution and negotiation of critical issues. At this level, the individual will have demonstrated understanding of project delivery requirements, creativity, foresight, working with a multi-disciplinary team to meet project goals and deliver high quality technical excellence. Supervision received is essentially administrative with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education, including 2 years of leadershipValid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records reviewProfessional Engineer (PE) registered in the State of Florida
Ability to obtain endorsement in the State of Florida within six months of Project NTP if registered in another state

Preferred Requirements:

Understanding of project delivery requirements, creativity, foresight, working with a multi-disciplinary team to meet project goals and deliver high quality technical excellenceFDOT Advanced MOTCTQP Quality Control Manager (Attend and pass the examination)To be achieved by Project NTP10 years of engineering experienceTwo of those years involved in relevant transportation projectsMaster's Degree in Engineering
