Shift: This role is 2nd Shift, 4:00 PM-2:30 AM

Hourly Rate: $21.59 an hour + $.50 shift differential

A Day in the Life of a Packaging Technician:

Our Celeste Packaging Technician will be responsible for Food Safety and Quality Assurance by monitoring line speed and efficiency, tracking and maintaining inventory levels and communicating with all areas of the department. You will be responsible for all essential duties encompassed in the packaging supply areas. You must follow all OSHA and Plant Safety rules and report directly to the department supervisor. This is an onsite position in a food manufacturing facility with hot and cold temperatures. #LI-Onsite

You Will:Able to operate and troubleshoot the wrapper, case packer, and cartonerChange the film rolesGet supplies and raw materials and enter data into the computerClean and sanitize all packaging equipment, including freezers, according to GMPs1st Level troubleshooting on freezer issuesLearn to calibrate, test, and adjust the X-Ray machine and take appropriate actions when it is not working correctlyFill out paperwork to track production, quality, downtime, and other requirements and enter data in the appropriate computer programsPerform all quality and weight checks, review line speeds, and make necessary adjustmentsAccomplish Master Sanitation (MSS) tasksHelp coordinate schedules, department startups, shutdowns, and cleaningActively seek ways to improve the production processesExplain product flow from the bakery to the warehouseParticipate in improvement teams such as Kaizen and TPMMaintain inventory records and ensure rotation of materials for accurate traceabilityYou Have:Must have a GED or High School DiplomaMust be able to communicate clearly with others and document information with easeMust be comfortable using Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and maintaining a Conagra Brands email accountMust follow all SOPs, SSOP's and GMPs for producing quality product; report deviations and take appropriate corrective measuresYou will lift and move up to 70 pounds
