Ford Ion Park is seeking highly motivated candidates for positions on a Battery Cell and Array Process Development Team. In this manufacturing engineering role, selected candidates will work on a diverse, cross functional team that meet the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction in the New Energy Vehicles of tomorrow.

You'll have…

B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent. Demonstrated experience in developing advanced manufacturing process innovation projectsHigh knowledge in machine troubleshootingExperience with machine design and manufacturing process optimizationProject management experience balancing multiple priorities simultaneouslyStrong analytical thinking, as well as problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsFlexibility to adapt to the dynamic working environment of a diverse team Ability and willingness to travel in SE Michigan for potential supplier visitsExperience in industrial controls with Siemens PLC and FANUC robot 

Even better, you may have…

M.S. degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent. Prototype / pilot scale manufacturing experienceExperience in Cell formation process and cell test process.

What you'll do…

Ensure safe environment during life-cycle to manufacturing process procurement from design, build, installation, commissioning, launch and beyond through proven engineering methods. Engage in cross-functional teams comprised of manufacturing engineering, product design, facilities, etc. to represent Formation, Aging and Test to support feasible solutions.Develop appropriate documentation to support the protection of intellectual property.Develop and maintain a standard manufacturing Bill-of-Process to enable the replication of state-of-the-art battery cell manufacturing processes on future global manufacturing programs.Program and modify machine PLC logic (e.g., Siemens) .Maintain proprietary process management system that manages process recipe and route combinations.Work with building trades to help with engineering solutions to keep manufacturing equipment cycling.
