Cell Manager - Assembly

Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for a Cell Manager of Assembly to join our growing team.

This position is located on-site in Hamilton, Washington State 

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in a manufacturing cell Manages the various components of Aerospace Parts production in accordance with Customer Specifications and Requirements Anticipates and mitigates obstacles in production cycle Estimates production times, and staffing requirements to provide information for management decisions Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow. Must be able to read and understand blueprints, isometric drawings and work orders Manage technicians in the assembly and fitment of aircraft structural parts and sub assemblies with high tolerances Perform structural adhesive bonding preparation per product specifications and compliance programs Manage the alignment, fit, assembly, connect, or install system components, using jigs, fixtures, measuring instruments, hand tools, or power tools Manage the adjustment, repair, rework, or replacement of parts and assemblies Develop and support on the job training activities Must understand and comply with safety and 5S Must understand and comply with AS9100 and Nadcap Practices and Procedures as applicable Must be able to read, understand and execute work orders to exacting specifications Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly, FOD free condition  Performs on the job training for project certifications, AS9100, Nadcap training and other training as required  Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines. Shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors. Must be at work on time and maintain good attendance. This is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job Performs other duties as assigned

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).  Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

QUALIFICATIONS

Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE 

High school diploma or equivalent is required Must have 3-5 years specialized training after high school or equivalent on-the-job training particular to job description Must have 1-3 years actual related job experience Must be familiar with a variety of the fields' concepts, practices and procedures such as Metrology and Assembly to include detailed hardware installation, plus in-process and final assembly of a wide variety of parts and models. Strong grasp of GD&T principles Must be able to read and understand highly technical drawings and documents such as blue-prints and / or CAD models Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 

Wage range for this role is between $35 - $50 an hour plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
