Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Cell Therapy Aseptic Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in clean room qualifications, run supplies and materials, and perform aseptic gowning to help with qualifications. This role involves working within manufacturing to help process cells and samples, using aseptic techniques to handle cultures, cryopreserve, and manipulate cell products. Previous experience with GMP practices and SOPs is essential.
ResponsibilitiesAssist in clean room qualification by helping to prepare clean rooms for testing.Run supplies and materials as needed for clean room operation and processing.Perform aseptic gowning to enter the clean room and assist with qualification.Work within manufacturing to help process cells and samples.Process cultures, cryopreserve, and manipulate cell products using aseptic techniques.Follow GMP practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs).Work in a cellular facility environment.Perform any and all processing and testing required to produce and assess safe and efficacious products.Support clinical trials as needed.Essential SkillsExperience working within a biology lab, either academic or industry.Experience working in a fast-paced environment.Previous lab gowning experience.Knowledge of aseptic techniques.Ability to work within a clean room environment.Experience with cell culture and stem cell preparation.Ability to effectively communicate within a team environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociates or Bachelors degree in biology or a related scientific field is a plus.Experience with batch records, cell expansions, volume reductions, depletions, and enrichments.Work Environment
This role is based in clinical manufacturing labs and requires flexibility on shifts. Initially, training will be Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm for the first three weeks. Once permanent, the shift will be Thursday-Friday and Sunday-Monday, working four ten-hour shifts. Candidates must be open to working on weekends. You will be reporting to the Operations Managers and will be part of a large team of operators. Extensive training on aseptic gowning and other processes will be provided.
