Role Description

Utilita Arena Cardiff hosts international tours and concerts with global artists as well as large-scale conference events. The cellar person holds a key position in our bar operation, responsible for multiple cellars and storerooms, stock control and delivery procedures as well as supporting our teams to ensure our bars our executed to the highest standard across a wide variety of live shows and events.

An integral member of the team, our cellar person contributes significantly to the effective running of our busy venue, where shows and events are as diverse as the individuals within it. With a positive and can-do approach, the successful candidate will drive our core team values of excellence and inclusivity and deliver the very best experiences in live entertainment.

About You

Experience in cellar management in the hospitality or live events industryUnderstanding of health and safety regulationsProficiency in stock managementExperience in delivery shiftsCompetent in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)Knowledge of relevant licencing lawsFLT license/ training Is desired

What the role includes

Maintaining clean and tidy cellar and storeroom areasOversee cellar(s) operations during shifts and live eventsStock movement and rotation in the cellar, storerooms and barsSet up of bars including stock and bar items as requestedSet up of mobile bars and confectionary areas as requiredSupervision of incoming deliveriesWeekly and monthly stock counts as directed by the bars managerCleaning lines and changing barrels and replenishmentReporting and maintaining cellar equipmentReport malfunctions of servicesContribute to improvements in processes for maximum cellar efficiencySupervision of casual staffHighest levels of cleanliness and hygiene across all bar and cellar operationsSupervising Bars on occasion when requiredIncluding but not limited to the above to assist in the Bars operations.
