Are you ready to start a new career with a LEADER in the industry and WORLD CLASS team! What we offer:Competitive hourly pay with OT opportunities Annual Pay IncreasesPTO Available as of DAY ONEOpportunities to grow with companyGuaranteed to be home every day401(k) plan with company matchEmployee Pension plan (at no cost to employees)Full Medical, Health & Wellness Benefits start on FIRST DAYSUMMARY Under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor, operates and maintains equipment to grind clinker to make cement.  RESPONSIBILITIESOperates grinding mills and associated machinery from computer system.Cleans control room and immediate area.Assists and directs Mill Oiler in housekeeping and lubricationKeeps operating records.Changes equipment settings and operating parameters as directed, or as needed per system conditions.Checks process flow of raw mill and finish mills.Visual inspections of belts, guards, catwalks, handrails, and additional process and safety equipment.Operates bobcat loader and lift truck.Assists with kiln repairs when needed. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to climb ladder of 20-50’ in height.Must be able to be on your feet 8-12 hours a day on concrete.Must be able to use shovel, broom, and wheelbarrow for housekeeping.Must be able to climb stairways of 50’ in height.Must be able to understand and speak clearly over telephone and base radio unit.Must be able to read gauges and keep accurate records of operating procedure.Must be able to wear respirators.Must be able to carry 5-gallon buckets of oil weighing 40-50 lbs. for lubrication purposes.Must be able to work in confined spaces and below ground level.Must be able to read and understand operating manuals for mobile equipment operated.Must be able to operate jackhammer weighing 40 lbs. sometimes in overhead positions.Must be able to work rotating shifts  MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or Equivalent WORKING CONDITIONS Must be able to work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, and rain).  Must be able to work in noisy environment with noise levels up to 120 dba. Must be able to work in environments including vibration and mechanical and electrical hazards. Must be able to work any assigned shift.  May have exposure to dust, cement, clay, gypsum, sand, diesel exhaust, lubricants, solvents, various fuels, grinding aids for finish cement, etc.  These factors are continuous throughout an 8 to12 hour day. DISCLAIMER The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
