Center Director
The Center Director plays a pivotal role in planning, organizing, and overseeing the programs and activities essential to the Job Corps training center's successful operation and achievement of its objectives. This role is geared towards empowering young, disadvantaged youth to secure meaningful employment through comprehensive residential training, educational, and Career Technical Training. The director ensures that students are guided on positive paths using personal example, understanding, patience, and the collaborative efforts of all staff. Additionally, the director spearheads the service delivery model, PACT (Pathway Achievement Career Team), guaranteeing its effective deployment and success within the center.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide comprehensive direction, management, and oversight to the Job Corps campus and its related activities. Embody and uphold STGi's values and operating principles consistently. Always prioritize the health and safety of both staff and students. Supervise all center facets, spanning from academics to administration. Collaborate closely with National Training Contractor regional staff, and other educational partners, ensuring alignment with MOUs. Administer and ensure compliance with the Zero Tolerance Policy and Significant Incident Reporting protocols. Manage the effective and efficient administration of the student training program. Realize the center's goals as defined within the Performance Management System. Adhere to and manage within the center's established budgets. Foster open and transparent communication channels with all stakeholders, including the USDOL and state/federal partners. Stay updated with National Job Corps Office priorities, integrating them into center strategies. Ensure uncompromised data integrity in all reporting activities and strictly adhere to all center, corporate, and other required plans & procedures. Continually assess program effectiveness and implement changes when necessary. Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, actively participating in relevant boards or councils. Facilitate a safe, positive, and motivational environment conducive for staff and student growth. Lead regular meetings, ensuring consistent alignment with national, regional, and organizational priorities. Manage all facets of staff interactions, from hiring processes to performance evaluations. Champion and ensure the practice of STGi’s values amongst both staff and students. Proactively guide PACT (Pathway Achievement Career Team) initiatives, ensuring the service delivery model's optimal rollout and success.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employees must regularly sit, stand, walk, reach, talk, and listen. Occasional requirements include sitting, hand movements (fingering, handling), tasting, and smelling. The role involves lifting/moving up to 25 pounds. Vision capabilities required include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision. The role occasionally requires exposure to outdoor weather conditions. While the general noise level is moderate, it can occasionally become loud.
