Center Food Service Worker

Overview Assists in meal preparation and serving, and cleans and sanitizes the area. Qualifications EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT At least six (6) months of experience in a related field. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must obtain Food Handler Certification from the Health Department within thirty (30) days of employment and maintain throughout employment. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Hours: Tuesday through Saturday 10am - 6pm
