**JOB SUMMARY**
Manages all daily business operations of a plasma collection center and is responsible for all aspects of center performance, including quality and compliance, operations, and financial supporting strategies and assures the company image as an ethical and high-quality provider of plasma is developed and maintained. Operates within the scope of EU Good Practice Guidelines and FDA cGMP 21CFR.

**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Core**
+ Manages the plasma collection center as a business, assuming responsibility for operational and financial results including achieving targeted business metrics such as collection volumes, cost per liter, inventory days on hand, scrap, and profitability.
+ Manages the plasma collection center in a cost-effective way which accounts for: quality, including employee time management, supply management, payroll, capital expenditures, donor fees management, and any additional area(s) which impact cost(s).
+ Ensures management team oversees plasma collection center’s staff, including training, performance evaluation, career development, compensation recommendations and progressive discipline, as needed according to company policies and procedures.
+ Ensures compliance of all plasma collection center’s activities with KEDPLASMA SOPs and other company standards and protocols to meet the regulatory requirements of the FDA, EMEA, Customer Specifications, and other regulatory bodies, as required.
+ Maintains a thorough understanding of State and Federal regulations (e.g., FDA approved Standard Operating Procedures, OSHA, CLIA, IQPP Standards and cGMPs) to maintain the highest production standards and ensure facility compliance.
+ Performs tasks associated with deviation management, including documenting quality events, conducting investigations, and identifying and implementing center Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA).
+ Ensures the plasma collection center is appropriately staffed to effectively manage current and anticipated future donation volumes.
+ Manages all equipment in the plasma collection center to ensure adherence to the required maintenance schedule, and the timely removal and return to service of malfunctioning or otherwise non-compliant equipment.
+ Manages the plasma collection center’s stockroom to ensure proper organization, temperature monitoring, and stocking and replenishment of soft goods and medical consumables.
+ Develops and posts work schedule(s) to ensure sufficient trained staff are present to cover hours of operation in adherence to regulatory requirements and to minimize donor wait times during peak donation times.
+ Participates in local community outreach activities to enhance relationships with potential donor sources.
+ Maximizes the success of advertising and marketing campaigns as evidenced by new donor growth, donor conversion and donor retention.
+ Directs/coordinates donor recruitment techniques and manages customer and donor complaints.
+ Maintains a professional and courteous relationship with donors to stimulate donor retention, referrals, and production growth.
+ Promotes the consistent delivery of a positive donor experience by maintaining a clean and safe environment, minimizing waiting time for donors, and delivering a positive phlebotomy and service experience.
+ Reviews test results to ensure that proper action is taken for abnormal and reactive test results, including prompt unit culling and quarantine, computer entry,timely completion of ‘lookback’ notification, final disposition of product and donor counseling.
+ Manages plasma inventory to ensure the timely removal of reactive and unsuitable units, and the resolution of slow-moving inventory and quarantined units.
+ Oversees the plasma shipments and sample submission process to ensure accuracy and timeliness of shipments.
+ Ensures that plasma collection center follows directives on shipping listed in the SOPs and instructions provided by the corporate logistics department.
+ Ensures projected production budget is met in quantity, quality and within required titer requirements.
+ Holds regular meetings with Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) and Center staff for revisions and updates to training.
+ Minimizes plasma collection center liability through constant risk management review; including review of Medical Incident Reports, minor incident logs, and drive timely corrective actions.
+ Keeps immediate supervisor informed of any irregularities within the plasma collection center and provides recommendations about process improvements.
+ Establishes and communicates performance standards and coaches others to meet or exceed the established standards.
+ Develops an understanding of NAT testing protocols and maintains IQPP Viral Marker Standards.
+ Ensures FDA licensed product; SISPQ (strength, identity, safety, purity, and quality) compliant.
+ Ensures the facility is well-maintained, safe, clean, and neat at all times.
+ Responds to freezer alarms and resolves freezer excursions, minimizing risk to product quality.
+ Completes payroll, personnel status changes and terminations in a timely manner.
+ Maintains data integrity and confidentiality of personnel, donor, and center information.
+ Maintains complete, accurate personnel records.
+ Adheres to safety protocol by enforcing EHS standards.
**Managerial / Supervisory**
+ Manages and oversees direct reports.
+ Disciplines and terminates employees following approved company guidelines.
+ Establishes and communicates performance standards to meet or exceed standards.
+ Coaches others for success and to meet established goals and/or standards.
+ Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains employees, as needed.
+ Oversees work assignments to include supporting and rearranging workload of direct reports.
+ Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations including motivating and evaluating employees based on established performance standards.
+ Promotes staff retention by creating an open, positive, and supportive work environment.
+ Receives, investigates, and responds to employee grievances. Involves and obtains guidance from supervisor and human resources when needed.
**General**

**REQUIREMENTS**
**Education, Qualifications & Experience**
+ Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Healthcare, Life Sciences, Business Administration) preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Minimum of three-year management experience required, preferably in a plasma or blood collection center or another regulated environment.
+ Knowledge of plasma operations and business processes preferred.
+ Knowledge of FDA, CLIA, and cGMP regulations related to plasma donation useful.
+ Previous experience managing profit and loss and other key business metrics helpful.
+ Proficient in operating computer software (including Microsoft Office Suite), data entry and recordkeeping systems.
**Physical Requirements**
Work is primarily light in nature, with exerting up to 50lbs of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Use of fingers to type and / or enter numbers on keyboards, keypads, etc. along with grabbing object(s). Additionally includes, reaching, handling, talking, hearing, bending, stooping, and walking. Involves sitting, standing, and walking most of the time.
**Working Conditions**
+ Primarily inside with well-lighted and well-ventilated areas.
+ Exposure to Blood Borne Pathogens.
+ Periodic exposure to an environment with a temperature of -40°C for short periods of time.
**Travel**
Travel as needed up to 15% of working time to plasma collection centers and other KEDPLASMA/Kedrion locations, which includes overnight travel.
