**ID/OD Centerless Grinder**
**Job Description**
We are an aerospace company looking for a skilled machinist to join our team in our machine and grind shop. The ideal candidate will have experience with tight tolerance precision capabilities, blueprint reading, and various types of machining equipment. A high attention to detail, excellent communication, and team-building skills are essential. The candidate must uphold safety, health, environmental, quality, and productivity standards, and have a good understanding of machining operations' standards, concepts, practices, and procedures. We seek a dedicated and driven individual to meet challenges and support day-to-day business needs while pursuing company goals.
**Responsibilities**
+ Extensive reading of blueprints and holding dimensions and tolerances as per prints.
+ Understanding and executing machining and grinding of various hardened tool steels and epoxy resins.
+ Setting up and operating conventional and CNC precision grinding equipment.
+ Setting up and operating conventional machining equipment to manufacture parts to print specifications.
+ Mounting and indicating parts to less than .001” TIR.
+ Reading and operating surface roughness testers.
+ Performing cylindrical and internal grinding of hardened tool steels and epoxy resins within tolerance of .0002”/.0005”.
+ Executing Centerless Grinding processes to achieve round surface tolerance with surface finish and dimensional tolerances.

+ Machining tiny shafts (3"-15" in length)
+ Achieving 16 surface finishes
+ OD and ID Grinding
+ Using inspection tools like micrometers and calipers
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with machining and grinding various hardened tool steels and epoxy resins
+ Operating and setting up CNC precision grinding equipment
+ Capability to mount and indicate parts to less than .001” TIR
+ Experience with surface roughness testers
+ Internal grinding within tolerance of .0002”/.0005”

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tukwila, Washington.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $50.00/hr.
