Compensation

Hourly base pay rate is $21.06 - $31.63/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated, action-oriented, and detail-focused individual to join our team as a Central Dispatch Business Intern.  This remote role will provide a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and rapidly growing marketplace business within the automotive logistics space of Cox Automotive, a leader in vehicle remarketing services, digital marketing, and software solutions for automotive dealers, manufacturers, and consumers.

What You Will Learn

Overview of an auto transportation marketplace/SaaS organizationUnderstanding of the daily operations of a businessHow to track and analyze the performance of new products/launches and operational activitiesEffective communication with different stakeholders (orally) as well as presentation skills (PPT)The art of consultative influence to organize, prioritize, and coordinate complex team efforts.

What you’ll do:

Help analyze and report on results of operational activities, new market launches, etc.Work closely with the operations team, client, account manager, product, and other cross-functional teams to meet the business’s needs.Consolidate and interpret business data, assist in analysis, use key business drivers to identify trends, and ensure alignment with goals and objectivesSupport relevant project management activities: goals/objectives, charters, plans, timelines, risk assessments, stakeholder assessments, communication plans, issue/risk logs, and status reports.Input and track the progress of Project assignments, report to stakeholders, and build out timelines for cross-functional and matrixed teams, with flexibility and bias for outcomesRepresenting Central Dispatch within the internship program and participating in activities/outings

Who you are:

Pursuit of a degree in the primarily related disciplines of Business and/or Data & AnalyticsSelf-starter with flexibility and willingness to balance multiple, changing priorities and work under tight deadlines and experienced in organizing, prioritizing, and coordinating one’s work in a dynamic environment, with an action-oriented postureStrong and proactive communication skillsProficiency in Office, with ideal emphasis on data, organization, and presentation productivity tools that complement accomplishing tasks and purposes of the above-defined responsibilities.

Intern/Co-Op sessions are considered temporary employment. No full-time employment commitments are made. However, depending on our business needs, some interns may be considered for a full-time position following the conclusion of the session conditioned upon the intern graduating from their academic program and being available to commence full-time employment at a specified time.
