What you will be doing 

The Pharmacy Technician at the Central Fulfillment Center is responsible for working in a closed-door, fast paced pharmacy facility on a production line. They are responsible for filling prescriptions under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. The Pharmacy Technician will work with prescription filling automation technologies and semi-manual/manual workstations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of orders and maintain a continuous and consistent workflow to help meet team goals. 
 

The position is based in Phoenix, AZ. The shift arrangement is typically a 40-hour workweek with occasional overtime to be expected. The technicians work on 1st shift from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM or on 2nd shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.

Main responsibilities 

Follow and promote proper Pharmacy, general safety and security procedures and processes of the company Use scanning and counting technologies to identify and select appropriate pharmaceutical products and quantities for filling prescription orders Ensuring medication counting devices are continuously replenished Assist with maintaining the pharmacy system and technologies that facilitate proper counting, conveyance, packaging, and shipping of prescriptions Monitoring inventory and supply levels at the responsible stations, calibrating machines, general troubleshooting (jams, blockages) within conveyance, counting, and packaging machines, escalating technical issues, and working as a team to reach team goals Monitoring and maintaining uptime of automated counting, collating, packaging, and sorting devices, ensuring continuous operation through basic troubleshooting of routine errors Create and maintain documentation as requested Manually fill prescriptions as needed Verify attributes of the product such as: size, strength, quantity, etc. before processing orders. Enter or scan expiration date and lot numbers Ensure labels on prescriptions are correct Prepare packages, sort, and manifest prescription orders if needed Stock and rotate merchandise and supplies to limit shrinkage if needed Assist Inventory Technicians as requested. Participate in Inventory Audits as needed Other duties as assigned concurrent with all applicable laws and regulations

We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience 

Required:  

Pharmacy Technician License in the Central Fill home state Ability to preserve confidentiality of patient information

Preferred:  

A national Pharmacy Technician Certification

Technical Experience:

Central Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician experience Prefers to work in a closed-door environment (no adjudication, customer interaction, phone work.)  Good computer skills Good math skills
