Your mission, roles and responsibilitiesThe NAO Operation Controller – home office will be located in the North America Headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI. This position is key to the NAO governance structure, this individual will work closely with the Vice President of Operations, Vice President of Finance Division, Vice President of Strategy and General Administration as well as division operations and CBU teams to drive transformation, transparency and bottom-line results of the business. This position will also work with SAO to ensure harmony and consistent reporting.
Critical success factors of this role include:
Ability to navigate the region results, drive consistency across divisions and group while improving the bottom-line results Manage and support The NAO Material Planning Transportation Scheduling activity Track costs of the MPTS organization by nature. Lead the recharge of the costs to the divisions. Co-Lead TEO management – implementation, usage, sharing best practice – Ability as a self-starter to identify opportunities and best practices in the areas of: Operational cost savings (track workload / efficiency) Ability as a self-starter to identify opportunities and best practices in the areas of: Operational cost savings (e.g. Shop floor reviews for best practices in regards to industrial performance and standards). Ensure alignment and rollout of gap to target and gap to benchmarks. Convert to cash (e.g. Assess customer payment term changes and response by Forvia to neutralize) Internal Control voice and expert to breakdown key problems to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness in the operations. Ability to effectively communicate NAO results to senior management, and recommend, drive and manage actions and strategy Prepare and perform management performance reviews with Patrick Koller. Group EVP and Division Presidents. Work with Executive Customer Champion to support and foster customer dashboard and key actions at the region level. Develop employees and provide candid and transparent STAR reviews. Ability to form effective relationships and motivate others in order to lead cross division analysis (e.g. lead financial analysis on footprint optimization project affecting more than 1 division).Additional responsibilities:
Provide a consolidated view of operations results. Analyze variances between the forecasted and actual results. Ensure the consistency between production indicators and financial reporting. Drive cash improvements Your profile and competencies to succeedThe ideal candidate will have/be:
Business School or Engineering background with a Finance degree or Master’s degree in Finance 8 to 10 years of professional experience, including plant controlling experience. Experience in managing people is preferred.
