Job Description:

Central Monitor Tech-3-South-Full-Time

The telemetry Central Monitoring technician provides continuous observation and interpretation of cardiac rhythms with documentation and communication of pertinent arrhythmias to nurse responsible.Responsible for assisting providers with cardiac monitoring, therapeutic measures, and procedures related to cardiac monitoring.Monitor and record physiological measurements including obtaining six second strip as indicated by patient condition.Responsible for identification of patient arrhythmias, abnormalities or significant changes from baseline and reporting on the condition of patient/client to the            appropriate supervisor or other health care team members.Care and maintenance of cardiac equipment.Documents and interprets patient’s heart rhythm and rate by utilizing telemetry recordings.Receive and coordinate telephone calls from healthcare providers.Communicate information clearly to nurses and physicians

I. Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required
