Central Pricing Office Analyst

Position Details:

Location: Remote (must reside in Florida)Status: PRN (non-benefit eligible, as needed)Shift:  Days, varies (Minimum of two 8 hour shifts weekly)Days: Monday through Friday / Occasional Weekends

 

This Central Pricing Office Opportunity is a PRN (non-benefit eligible) remote position. Team members must reside in Florida.

Responsibilities:

The Central Pricing Analyst is responsible for working Soarian and Trace worklists, to include customer requests for price estimates received via phone and the online web form. Entails obtaining and verifying patient/customer insurance benefits with all managed care and uninsured plans. Determine the appropriate clinical procedure, CPT or DRG code for the patients' service, calculates patient/customer financial responsibility using calculation tools, provides estimates directly to patients/customers, documents the financial information in the patient accounting system or other tracking tools, and identifies registration errors and other issues and coordinate with other departments to get information corrected. Work with onsite team members to provide assistance and communication regarding estimates. Responsibilities also include handling inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner, following call center scripts, resolving customer issues, maintaining a positive, empathetic and professional attitude toward customers at all times, utilizing effective listening skills, asking pertinent questions, confirming facts with the customer, and educating customers as needed on their benefits and price estimates. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Bachelor Degree with 3 years of Patient Financial Services on one of the following - HIM, Coding, Patient Accounts, or Patient Registration (with a focus on providing benefits and estimates)OR High School Diploma with 7 years Patient Financial Services on one of the following - HIM, Coding, Patient Accounts, or Patient Registration (with a focus on providing benefits and estimates)Must have detailed understanding of insurance benefits and specific employer coverage
