As the Central Region BDM for Drains, you will lead nationwide sales efforts of Watts-specific products, targeting municipalities, wholesalers, engineers, and any other departments requiring a Drains Subject Matter Expert. Under the guidance of the Director of Sales, you work together with the RSMs, manufacturer’s representatives, and specialized distribution channels in the region. Additionally, you will develop sales plans and strategies within the territory to meet short- and long-term goals.
You Will:Meet, or exceed, annual sales targets. Create sales plans/strategies and key account plans.
Help manage manufacturer’s representatives.
Track projects, from planning through purchasing, while working with the Director of Sales, manufacturer’s representatives, and industry partners.
Assist the Engineering team to gain specifications for specific Watts’s products while providing supporting resources/documentation.
Educate national contractors and their associates on solutions and services.
Develop and execute, promotional sales programs together with direct reports and the Director of Sales Operations to promote the Watts brand.
Communicate company messaging to representatives, engineers, distributors, and contractors.
Provide (VOC) voice of customer to the design team to change or enhance Watt’s products to service the market trends of the region.
Identify landmark projects and their potential. Work to specify Watt’s on the project(s) and see the project(s) through to fruition. Highlight the successes and use methodology to implement in other markets.
Regular visits to the Watts Works Learning Centers with contractors for formal training events.
Provide field technical support, conduct NPD research and VOC coordination, launch new products, pilot corporate strategy projects, coordinate field and Learning Center training sessions, and develop marketing content and projects.
You Have:Bachelor’s degree within a technical discipline.
5+ years of experience in Business Development Role/ Traveling role
Team building and management experience.
Demonstrated ability in technical sales, construction acumen, and engineering specification process
Ability to travel +70%

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
