Central Service Technician

HSHS St. John’s Hospital is seeking a Central Services Tech to join our Periop Department. Ideal candidates are patient focused and mission driven while performing a variety of sterile processing functions, including proper decontamination, quality assurance, sterilization of equipment and distribution of sterile surgical instrumentation to areas throughout the affiliate and outside service contracts to ensure quality patient care and safety.

Position Specifics:
o Department: Perioperative
o Schedule: Full time, 40 hrs/wk, Evenings (3pm-11:30pm) and every third weekend on call and every sixth weekend work.

Education QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED is preferred. Experience Qualifications1 year of central supply experience is preferred.Knowledge of nursing procedures, aseptic technique, medical terminology, and infection control is preferred. Certifications, Licenses and RegistrationsWI-Certified and Registered Central Service Technician is preferred. IL-Certified and Registered Central Service Technician is required within 18 months of employment.

Pay Range:

$17.50 - $24.50

A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.
