Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Central Services Attendant.
In this role, the successful candidate Is responsible for the rounding to the assigned patient care area s to disinfect dirty equipment within the Dirty Utility Room DUR Once the equipment is clean then tagged they will be placed in the designated storage location Distributes and delivers any stored equipment from the CSPD equipment storage room to the requested patient care area Distributes stored medical supplies for the equipment used on patient care areas Maintains adequate supply inventory and shelves within CSPD Is expected to remove from the patient care area any dirty instruments and or devices for processing to the Decontamination Area of CSPD
Job Responsibilities:
Is able to identify when equipment stock levels needs adjustment Effectively utilize the organization s Service Standards and incorporates them into the performance of duties Processes all request for medical surgical supplies and distributes them to appropriate nursing units Effectively utilizes supply inventory restocking and distribution practices according to established protocols Responsible for the disinfecting handling inspecting and distributing mobile patient equipment SPM scans all equipment into the storeroom Maintains patient care area s equipment par levels Documents in SPM all supply issuance in accordance with department protocols Must have the ability to operate the RTLS I PAD in locating necessary equipment Effectively utilize the practices of infection control cross contamination prevention policies and departmental and hospital emergency protocolsMinimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School Diploma or equivalent Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Requires ability to follow oral and written instructions and perform basic mathematical calculations Ability to work flexible schedules weekends and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
CSPD experience and certification Knowledge of specific health care products and familiarity with patient care equipment is preferred Basic level computer skills preferred Must be able to operate automated and technical equipment

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $40,166.20 – $45,130.63 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
