Salary Range: $18.12 - $21.54
Pay rates are determined based on experience and internal equity.
Position Summary:
Able to deliver supplies throughout the day/night. Work with the clinical staff to solve supply issues. Keep a clean and organized work area. Transfer and charge items in the materials management system. Maintain central processing & distribution department. Distribute supplies and equipment used in the care and treatment of patients. Responsible for cleaning the warehouse and maintaining clean walk ways. Demonstrate knowledge to assess nursing units and other clinical areas medical supplies and ensure appropriate inventory levels are being maintained. Assist in maintaining inventory levels of the solution room. Able to requisition supplies, maintain storerooms and distribute supplies to requesting departments. Use positive customer service techniques to build communication with all departments and staff while focusing on continuous improvement. Ability to learn and utilize the materials management software on a daily basis. Provides feedback to Materials Management Director. Acts as the Courier when the Courier is gone. Attends Inservice education programs as assigned to learn new procedures, adheres to hospital and department policies and procedures as outlined in respective manuals. Other duties as assigned. Must work well under stress or tight deadlines. Must work well with supervisors, co-workers, patients/residents, family members and visitors.District Responsibility:

The ability to lift 50 lbs regularly throughout the day. Ability to lift 50 lb boxes of the shelves in the warehouse and carry up to the second floor of the warehouse. The ability to pull supplies and stock shelves daily. The ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.Position Qualifications:
Education: High school Diploma or equivalent. Experience: Any combination of training, education and work experience that demonstrates the ability to satisfactorily perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. Typical qualifying experience is 6 months experience as a nursing assistant. Certifications: None Skills/Ability: Knowledge of medical supplies, patient chargeables, and hospitals terminology. Ability to take verbal orders in the department by telephone, follow set rules, perform tasks that are detailed and repetitive, work as department needs dictate. Follow through with accuracy, exercise good judgment, demonstrate initiative, emotional stability, tact and poise. Ability to develop computer literacy.
