DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: The Nursing Resource Pool offers you increased flexibility in your scheduling, while allowing you to float only at Trinity Health Ann Arbor. SUMMARY: The Staffing Clerk would be responsible for assigning a variety of patient care resources to patient care units throughout our various campuses in Ann Arbor, Livingston, Livonia, Chelsea, Brighton, Emergency Services, and Surgical Services. Requires and utilizes an in-depth knowledge of unit, departmental, and organizational policies to guide appropriate placement of resources. Collaborates with nursing and unit based leadership as resources are moved fluidly throughout the organizations. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional formal clerical and computer training desirable Familiarity with staffing procedures, usually gained through two or more years of staffing experience. Strong attention to detail. Proficient with at least one word processing package and one spreadsheet package. Telephone skills and ability to operate office equipment such as personal computers, copies, FAX machines, and printers. Ability to exercise independent judgment to set work priorities. Organizational skills to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt quickly to changes and interruptions. Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with a wide range of staff in order to relay and obtain information.
