Central Supply Manager
Job Description:Oversight of CVM Central Supply and Mailroom operations and teams. Hires, trains, coaches, schedules team members. Ensure mail room and central supply store are able to operate and provide consistent service with minimal disruption. Sets priorities for team members based on operational and strategic needs of the organization. Helps troubleshoot complicated issues escalated to the manager. Ensure team is providing consistent and excellent customer service.
Inventory Management: Work with College and Hospital stakeholders to ensure regularly used items are stocked and available in the store. Source alternative stock with feedback from end-users. Communication with stakeholders regarding changes to inventory such as backorder or alternatives. Utilize inventory software to track and maintain inventory. Conduct regular inventory and par value counts and required end of period counts. Ensure inventory is turned over with minimal loss or waste due to expiration. Work with College and Hospital stakeholders to help deliver orders or stock items in various areas around the college and hospitals
Policy and Procedures: Develops, updates, and communicates policies and procedures to team members, external vendors, and UF stakeholders. This position is critical in reviewing and applying policy in order to maintain sustainable operations and a safe working environment. Policies can include chain of custody for deliveries, checking out purchases from the store, and scheduling of staff to carry out essential functions. Ensure policies and procedures adhere to College, University, State, and Federal guidelines.
Work with stakeholders to ensure central supply purchases are processed and journaled on a regular and consistent basis to ensure accurate account balances for stakeholders. Reconcile charges regularly for accuracy. Ensure purchases for expiring funds such as grants or end of year funds are processed on time. Work with accounting team to process a regular end of day process.
Provide input in areas of expertise for strategic planning.
Expected Salary:$52,000 - $55,0000 annually
Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:• Knowledge of medical products and usage
• Knowledge of State, UF, and CVM rules and procedures
• Knowledge of any relevant Hospital Information Systems
• Strong internal initiative, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
