Position Summary

Performs specialized duties relating to the care of and setting up of instruments and equipment used by the
operating room, clinics and individualized hospital departments.

Reports to: Manager 

FLSA: Non-exempt

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and equipment.

Prepares equipment and specialty trays for processing and sterilization as assigned. Including all documentation requires for sterilization records.

Assesses equipment functioning and performance, notifies appropriate person of any defects/damage, and prepares equipment and instruments which needs to be sent out for repair.

Orders, receives, completes, and distributes case carts for individual cases.

Records required information for compliance. Monitors warmers, freezer, and refrigerator temperatures.


Minimum Qualifications

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Associate's degree (Preferred)
*Years of relevant experience may be substituted for required education.

Required Skills

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be
able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Work Experience
1 year in central supply experience (Preferred)
